One point! A very small point! That's what separates us from the Holy Grail ... Nothing to do with the figures but the final of the Rugby World Cup 2011 has seen today two great teams clashed against each other at the Eden Park in New Zealand. The game rattled both nations for 80 minutes. The French are disappointed but proud. Although the start of the competition was laborious for the French team, they fought like demons against the best team in the world who played on his field, his country and was supported by an entire people. Well done the Blues (played white today) and see you in 2015!
Well done also to the All Blacks who have offered a superb competition and deserve more than all the other teams to be crowned world champion.

The French were very unlucky to lose by all accounts, so there is unfinished business between Les Bleus and the All Blacks; the result doesn't really settle the question "who are the best team in the world?"
RépondreSupprimerYep Rosbif, you're right if you only consider the last game "des bleus" against the All Blacks. But first games of "les bleus" were very bad. They were not constant. They offered the worst as well as the best troughout the competition while the All Black have shown their strength during all the tournament. We still haven't recovered from our last defeat against Australia... ;=D
RépondreSupprimerAaah...the agony of defeat.
